Historical introduction: prices, events and dates refer to the original publication.

I am pleased to announce that the second issue of this year’s Detektor revue magazine has been printed and is ready for distribution. So what can you look forward to in episode two? For example, in a numismatic study by Ing. Pavel Moravec, on the remarkable treasure-hunting successes of his colleague Luděk Schmidtmayer, the investigations of Dr. Jana Kuxe or a treasure-hunting expedition led by our colleague Kladívko. History enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the findings of Josef Procházka, who is investigating one of the key mysteries of European history. And what sort, then? Well, let yourself be surprised. Do you consider treasure hunters’ meet-ups to be a waste of time, or do you find them beneficial? This is the subject of a survey in which you can explore the wide range of views held by some of your fellow treasure hunters. This is followed by a study of a particular numismatic gem and the first part of an extensive series on historical miners’ lamps. We also recommend to everyone the short story by Zdeněk Jarchovský and, of course, the study on the history of artillery technology by the researcher Jan Škarka. There is also an advice column and other regular features.
