Historical introduction: prices, events and dates refer to the original publication.

The latest issue of Detektor revue should already be in the hands of subscribers and retailers by now. Many of you have already purchased the magazine at the treasure hunters’ meet-up in Radvanec last week, but we are only publishing this announcement now so that subscribers do not have to keep an eye on their letterboxes and wait for the distribution company to deliver the magazine.

What can you look forward to in this year’s second issue? In addition to our established features and series such as ‘Ammunition’, ‘Seals’, ‘Sacral Objects’ and ‘Short Story’, we bring you the conclusion of the article on the Czechoslovak LT VZ light tank. Issue 35 features material on the Battle of Zborov with unique photographs, a competition entry about the archaeologist Václav Schmidt, reflections on the future of metal detectors from an electrical engineering perspective, a visit to metal detectorists in the USA, a report on finds along the retreat route, and other articles. We have introduced two new sections: ‘Attic finds’ and a photo feature on the restoration of a German tank crew badge. We hope you’ll enjoy this issue at least as much as the previous one.

Adam Krejčík and Miroslav Kratochvíl wish you pleasant reading and enjoyable searching
