Historical introduction: prices, events and dates refer to the original publication.

The second issue of Detektor revue was published on Friday 21 December. We apologise for the delay, but we firmly believe that we will gradually make up for lost time. What will you find in pair two? It’s not just war enthusiasts who can marvel at this perilous forest find by Majkl and Jurgen, learn about the Škoda PA-II armoured car ‘Turtle’, or immerse themselves in the turbulent moments of the war’s end in a small town in the Orlické Mountains. In Franta Soukup’s article, you can read about the search for the fate of a small tin badge found in Tachov. I dare say that most metal detectorists will certainly be interested in the first part of the extensive interview with conservator Dušan Perlík on the cleaning and conservation of metals, or Zdeněk Jarchovský’s remarkable article on non-destructive prospecting. We haven’t forgotten the next instalment in the series on ammunition, on seals, or the illustrated short story. There is also an introduction to the metal detector – this time it’s the Quick Draw II – as well as an article on search techniques. Unfortunately, we were unable to include the continuation of the series on sacred objects in this second issue, but we promise to publish it in the third issue. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the readers who sent us their competition entries. Please note that there is no limit on the number of contributions, so if you feel like it or have an interesting idea, feel free to write more!
